SPECIAL PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Students must have access to Webcam software and hardware to enable remote classroom observation and conferencing. Students are required to purchase LiveText portfolio assessment software. Additional course specific software may be required.
SPECIAL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students must meet all graduation requirements set forth by Valdosta State University. The Middle Grades Math and Science M.Ed. curriculum consists of 36 credit hours.
ACCESS TO ADVISING/MENTORING SERVICES
Students accepted into the program are advised on their program of study and course selection via email prior to registration. Each student will be assigned an advisor who will monitor her/his progress in the program. Advising will be conducted using e-mail or phone.

SPECIAL ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
There are no on-campus attendance requirements for this program. Teachers enrolling in this program must be in a classroom setting with students a minimum of 20 hours per week per semester. This requirement can be fulfilled by being a classroom teacher or classroom volunteer. Students must have access to Webcam software and hardware to enable remote classroom observation and conferencing.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Students may work anytime, anywhere they have access to the online courses. The semester-length courses begin and end on specific dates, assignments are due as assigned. Other activity and work deadlines will be published in the course syllabi. There typically are no required synchronous class sessions – some courses will require classroom observation and conferencing via webcam.
